Anna believes it’s not working remotely that makes you feel lonely as work was never meant to be a primary source of your social needs. Neither your office nor coworking space was created with your social needs in mind. Sometimes you can be lucky and have excellent work colleagues who satisfy your social needs which is a bonus. This should never be your expectation.
The shift to remote work didn’t create disconnection and isolation, it only exposed a problem that already existed, people do not have a strong social network due to not being proactive and intentional in trying to make new valuable friends and connections.
